Temat: A strange but wonderful friend.

A friend of mine seems to be a little strange but still socially accepted and highly appreciated. He is older than I am, and has already graduated from the Fine Arts Faculty of this university. He claims that an artist should create and launch fashion and, on the other hand, should not necessary be influenced by things that are trendy at the moment. Consequently, on any occasion he wears loose casual clothes and never gives too much haircut to his long curly hair. Long hair has been out of fashion for several years now and casual attire is commonly considered inappropriate for official ceremonies, like wedding, funeral or national day. However, his hair is always clean and combed and his clothes are neat and somehow look smart. You may say that he looks odd but at the same time you feel he appears weird and wonderful.

His passions for ecology, nature and wild animals are unusual, too. Of course there are people who share his fascinations but still his enthusiasm is remarkable and unique. He may get up at 4 AM to watch the sunrise in the mountains or walk long distance to find out if the black birds still have their nests in a particular area. He keeps thinking about natural environment nearly at all times. When he goes to a supermarket, he collects all things he bought into his own bag. The reason is that plastic bags offered in supermarkets are not degradable and when disposed may spoil the environment for many years. For many a man his behaviour may seem queer and peculiar but even those who laugh at his ways approve of his ecological approach. All in all, people often benefit from his sometimes strange actions, and that is the reason they admire him and see as a wonderful human being
